He\/she works on a roster determined by the vessel schedule and berthing plan. He\/she is responsible for safely loading\/unloading cargo ships that are berthed at the pierhead. In-house training and mentorship will be provided as required.<\/p>\n<p><!-- Key Responsibilities --><\/p>\n<h3>Key Responsibilities<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Operate cranes to load and unload cargo from ships.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure the safe and efficient movement of cargo.<\/li>\n<li>Conduct pre-operation checks and routine maintenance of equipment.<\/li>\n<li>Collaborate with the Cargo Operations Manager and team to coordinate loading\/unloading activities.<\/li>\n<li>Adhere to safety protocols and procedures at all times.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><!-- Qualifications --><\/p>\n<h3>Qualifications<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>High school diploma or equivalent.<\/li>\n<li>Previous experience operating cranes or heavy machinery is preferred.<\/li>\n<li>Strong understanding of safety regulations and procedures.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work flexible hours based on vessel schedules.<\/li>\n<li>Good communication and teamwork skills.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><!-- Application Information --><\/p>\n<h3>Application Information<\/h3>\n<p>Interested candidates are invited to submit their applications, including a resume and cover letter, to the Port of Belize Ltd.
