Maxi-Float at Low Berth Port of Belize

Today Feb 5, 2010 the Port of Belize succesfully completed the loading and unloading  of the British Vessel “MV Anvil Point”. The MV Anvil Point utilized their Maxi-Float which is a power driven collapsible barge for the transportation of their cargo to the Port of Belize’s pier used for domestic cargo commonly known as the Low Berth. The cargo included containers and a variety of  Army equipment .

The Port of Belize is pleased to have successfully resolved the controversial issue of the previously approved location of discharge after discussions and negotiations with members of the British Forces Belize and thus averted the possibility of significant delays caused through no fault of the Port.

The Port of Belize has all the facilities necessary to carry out the loading and unloading of all international vessels and once again was able to deliver the services to the satisfaction of the customer.
